Yesterday we took a scenic drive up to Brant Lake to photograph and celebrate the marriage of Emily and Lenny. We met them both two years ago when they were the maid of honor and best man at her sister’s and his cousin’s wedding. Now that their turn to be married had arrived, they couldn’t have chosen a more perfect location, date, and partner for the occasion. They were wed on the water’s edge with a view of the gold and green speckled mountains and the sound of waves lapping on the shore. Family and friends listened to their love story and watched them exchange rings and vows. After they made it official with a kiss, it was off to celebrate where lovely dances, heartfelt toasts, and yummy food was served up to guests. Once the dance floor opened, we saw a range of dancing styles from flossing to free-styling will crutches. The night ended with a walkway of sparklers down to a firepit on the beach where guests toasted the couple again, in marshmallow form, as the fixings to smores beckoned. We left Emily and Lenny there by the firepit as they savored what was left of their night as looking forward to embarking on their honeymoon. We wish them a happy trip and a happily ever after!
