Tori + John | Married

We last saw Tori and John in June. I knew they would be great when the rain did not deter them from getting some great photos. Heather and I had a blast shooting their wedding in the beautiful Adirondack’s. And here’s a tip for future brides courtesy of Tori: Create a book with your engagement photos for a wonderful guest book. Congratulations Tori and John!

Jordyn’s Birth

In the wee hours of this morning, I had the extraordinary experience of watching the birth of Baby Jordyn and along with her, the birth of a new and very brave mama. After racing to the hospital around midnight, we soon realized that Jordyn was going to be the one to decide when she would be coming; and as wonders never cease, she chose to be born at one of the only times her Daddy could have listened in on the delivery, via a satellite phone from Afghanistan. Had she come any sooner or much later for that matter, her Daddy wouldn’t have been able to hear that beautiful first cry. I was honored to take on the roll of photographer and welcomer to the world. This was a great first solo assignment and I thank Hannah and Tim for the opportunity. :0)

Jennifer + Andrea | Married

This is a special one. Jen has been friends with Heather since high school. They were at our wedding. When I heard that New York was (finally) passing a same sex law and that Jen and Andrea were to be married on their summer holiday from Germany, I wanted to take their photos. These two are simply wonderful. Congratulations Jen and Andrea!

What a great couple Tori and John are. After being rained out on Saturday, we went north to the Adirondacks, first stop the Sagamore where John proposed to Tori.

We then went further north to where their ceremony will be this fall.

And then the rain came… Didn’t get them down and just look at these awesome shots.

Love the umbrella!

I have an ongoing series of flowers at various stages of bloom. They are usually titled for the place where I took it. It seems appropriate to call this one Tori’s Bloom.
